Friday, Sept. 7 - 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Main Park - Mudflats totally dried up at the northern half of the  lake.
Only birds were a few stray killdeer.  Most shorebirds were at  the central and
south ends of the lake.
    Lesser yellowlegs
    LESSER GOLDEN PLOVER
    Least sandpipers
    Solitary sandpipers
    Spotted sandpipers
    Great blue herons
    Green- and blue-winged teal
    Wood ducks
    Killdeer
    Cooper's hawk

North Park:
    Great egret - 1
    Green-backed heron - 2
    DC cormorant - 1
    Ring-billed gull - 1
    Belted kingfisher - 2
    Spotted sandpiper - 1
    Killdeer
    Baltimore oriole - male
    Field and song sparrows
    Barn swallows
    Turkey vultures (18) - hungrily eyeing the  dead carp in the
            nesting pond.
