I spent the weekend camping at Pike Lake State Park (in Pike County,
just south of Bainbridge, OH). First, until the Ohio Birds collective
gets tired of RBNU Records, I'll happily report that the Red Breasted
Nuthatch was abundant in all available evergreens this weekend at Pike
Lake. Other birds of note:

Blackburnian Warbler
Yellow Throated Warbler
Cape May Warbler
Black Throated Green Warbler
Tennessee Warbler
Black and White Warbler
Chestnut Sided Warbler
Bay Breasted/Blackpoll (not sure, I am, afterall, an amateur birder!)
Scarlet Tanager
Yellow Throated Vireo
Screech Owls

All the other usual birds for Southern Ohio this time of year,
including 5 species of woodpeckers, several indigenous flycatchers,
chickadees and titmice, etc.

Pike Lake is a beautiful habitat and a great destination for birding
any time of the year.

Good Birding
