I'm relatively new to NE Ohio so I don't know the normal patterns for purple
finches, but we've had them at our feeders all summer. Our first sighting
was April 4. I suppose they'll be leaving soon but as of yesterday they
were still around.

The junco that has been a rare but regular visitor all summer is appearing
more often now.

Happy birding, everyone.
