I took a quick look at West Branch SP today 10/1. There is still fine shorebird habitat at the usual place--Rte. 14/Knapp Rd. area. But also as usual there were few birds of note, just a few each of greater yellowlegs, spotted sandpiper, and pectoral sandpiper. This site is definitely worth checking over the next few weeks for possible long-billed dowitcher, Hudsonian godwit, etc. Dunlins should appear there soon. Later, Craig
