two (2) northern saw-whet owls were found in the headlands beach state park area today (10/14/2007). we have never had two in one day before. these tiny owls appear to be moving south with all the kinglets and sparrows that have deluged the southern shore of lake erie in the past few days. these have been the second and third northern saw-whet owls we have located in the headlands area in the past four days.
