At noon Monday there were at least 2 Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrows at Tinkers Creek State Nature Preserve along Old Mill Rd (Delorme 41 B7) southwest of Aurora. There is a small parking lot just east of the railroad tracks along the Summit County boarder. About 75 yards east of this lot is a pond full of lily pads on the north side of Old Mill Rd. There is some traffic along this road but about a 10' berm between the road and the water is walkable if you're cautious. The birds were working in the 3' high, 6' wide stretch of green cattails never more than 10' off the road and occassionally flying into the taller brown cattails both to the east and more often to the west.
