On Oct 18, I was fortunate to have a 4 to 5 minute
observation of a juvenile Goshawk at Caesar Creek
State Park in Warren County. The bird was seen on the
road to the beach, and was perched just about 4 feet
off the ground quite near the park road. I watched it
drop to the ground after prey several times.

On Oct 19 at Grand Lake St Mary's Fish Hatchery,
a few shorebirds were present as follows: 1 Baird's
Sandpiper, 4 Dunlin, 15 Pects, 6 Least, 1 Semi-palm
sandpiper, 6 Greater Yellowlegs and 9 Lesser
Yellowlegs.
