Hi Everyone,

It's good to be back birding again after several weeks away from it. I
have been to Glacier Ridge Metro Park Wetlands section this week and had the
privilege of observing some unidentified raptors (mostly greyish in
color flying into the headwind and making little or no progress and finally
settling into a tree to rest. Also, the rehydration of
the "wetlands" brought Mallards and Canadian Geese by the dozens on Tuesday
afternoon while today, only Canadian Geese were present. For Tuesday, I
witnessed a noisy discussion between these two species about rights to the
wetlands as well as witnessing a very impressive landing technique and form
by the Canadian Geese which were just arriving as I was just getting out to
the boardwalk area. Late last week I simultaneously witnessed two groups
of turkey vultures each containing several dozen birds further up Rt.33 near
Marysville.. Unfortunately, no interesting "lifer" species have been seen
by me lately to report here....................
