Today I saw a lone female pine siskin among the goldfinches feeding on the deck below the feeders at the Highlands Nature Sanctuary visitor center (formerly Seven Caves) in Highland County, between Hillsboro and Chillicothe. Does seeing one this far south this early suggest that this may be a major invasion year for siskins?
