Myself and Bob Krajeski had 2 male Lapland Longspurs in the back of the
green sedge area at the sandspit ,6pm to dark last night (Thursday). Birds
have very visible winter coloration. One bird would allow close approach to
within 10 feet, was able to get good photos. This area warrants closer
scrutiny for other species.

     Other observations:

Dunlin flock of 9 to 10 since tuesday
                    Black-bellied plover 3 to 5 all week
                    Golden plover 1 all week
                    Snipe 2+
                    Pectoral sandpiper 3
                    Green-winged teal 15
Sora 3 to 5 all week
                    Greater Scaup 1 female
                    Semipalmated plover 2 10/2
