Troy Shively called to report a Franklin's gull and a buff-breasted
sandpiper at Old Field Beach at Indian Lake SP in Logan County. There's
no way to be sure, but this gull shows every sign of being the same one
detected there continually over the past sixteen days. A stay this long
during its migration to the west coast of South America is quite
unusual, as was what seems to have been a 14-day stay by a young
Sabine's gull, headed pretty much the same way, up the road at the Lake
St Marys fish hatchery.
