I stopped at Sheldon Marsh this morning late (9am) didn't get many species of warblers but there were mostlyYellow-rumped Warblers and more Blackpolls at the tip. Also saw three Purple Finches which I am not used to seeing. Many White-throated Sparrows, Robins and Blue Jays, many Swainsons Thrushes, both nuthatches, Winter Wren etc.

I couldn't find much on the Cedar Point Causeway (Dunlin & Yellowlegs) so I stopped at an Erie Metropark (East Sandusky Bay Preserve Metropark - Community Foundation Preserve - "Eagle Point" which is the third park west of the Cedar Point Causeway on the north side of Rte 6 and walked out to the bay. I hadn't been there in four years - there is a elevated viewing platform now and the place looks much better. There were so many American Coots I didn't count (way over 1000), many Northern Shovelers, Pied-billed Grebes, Ruddy Ducks counted over 100, American Wigeon counted 15 probably more, Northern Pintail 3 females, Mallards and Canada Geese all over. (female Pintails are something new for me)

At Port Clinton City Beach had four closeup Dunlin and a Sanderling that continued to return to the same place no matter who scared them away.
