I've checked out the mudflats at the north end of Acton Lake at Hueston Woods the last two days. Still great looks at sandpipers (snipe, pectoral, least, solitary), and killdeer from the road behind the park office. Also, the snow goose remains and was very close to the park office yesterday. I was unable to locate the dunlin seen by Jay Stenger and Joe Bens over the weekend.
Just outside the nature center near the cougar display yesterday was a red breasted nuthatch.
