Peterjohn states regarding Ruby-throated Hummingbirds that "The last
migrants usually depart by October 5-12." It is now October 11, and we still
have a first year male RTHU coming to our feeders daily. I keep expecting
him to be gone, but each morning he appears, then reappears at irregular
intervals during the day.
