Hello Ohio Birders,

A Columbus Audubon field trip to Deer Creek Reservoir found two black vultures flying over the dam and four sandhill cranes on the mudflats at the upper (northern) end of the reservoir. There was little else of note (one pied-billed grebe, one mallard, and the expected 3 gull species). The cranes arrived at 4:45pm. (This is a traditional roosting spot for a few cranes every November.)

Happy birding,

Dave Horn
