Location: Cincinnati Nature Center (Rowe Woods)

Weather: High of 68 forecast, partly to mostly cloudy
Observers: David Brinkman, Ron Visscher


An all morning search for saw-whet owls in several red cedar stands at the Cincinnati Nature Center (CNC) turned up nothing.

We did manage to find 2 red-breasted nuthatches and 2 yellow-bellied sapsuckers.
Highlight was a pileated woodpecker and sapsucker hanging from same grapevine tangle high in the tree feeding on the abundant wild grapes.
