I'm not sure why this isn't posted. Maybe it went out "locally". I got a
message about two CAVE SWALLOWS at Fairport Harbor this afternoon. We
stopped there on our way back from Western Ohio. At around 3:00 we pulled
up and had one within probably 30 seconds. It was easy to see and ID, just
too far for photos. I only saw one the whole time I was there. It was east
of the "mew gull" marina at the eastern end of the harbor. Go east of the
marina and restaurant and look east along the shoreline. The one I saw flew
low over the water and occasionally went up over the shoreline.

To get there take Rte 2 to the Richmond Street exit at Painesville. Go
north and in about a mile the road will split. Take the right split (East
Street) and follow it north to the lake. Go down the hill and follow the
road right towards the marina. Go east through the marina and past the
restaurant. Watch from here.

We also stopped at Huron this afternoon and had the SABINE'S GULL. There
was also two LITTLE GULLS there, a juvenile and second year bird.
