Cowan Lake has been rather dull lately as far as birding is concerned but this morning I found thirty + Black Vultures at the East end of the park. There were about 20 Turkey vultures in their usual place in a dead tree. The Blacks were on the rocks near the water.
This is an annual occurrence but always an interesting sight.
Chilly Day Cheers, Larry Gara
