Monthly census was conducted Saturday, November 17 from 0730-1230 EST.
Participants were Tom & Paula Bartlett and Sandy Tkach. Total species was
59 which is slightly above 10 year average of 55 species observed on
November routes. The total individuals observed was 16620 which is also
slightly above the average of 12291. This is actually the 11 year for the
November count. Highlights included Mute Swan, Tundra Swan, Wood Duck, Surf
Scoter, Black Scoter, Gray Catbird, Fox Sparrow, "Oregon" Junco, Purple
Finch, and Pine Siskin.

This brings the 2007 Kelleys Island census list to 171 species observed on
11 routes (January through November). That makes 2007 to the second highest
number of species observed over 10 years of census routes. 2005 had 177
species and the 10 year average is 161 species. No new species were added
to the list of species observed on November census routes but 5 new species
