Hey folks - 
 
Local Patch Birding and Kirtland Bird Club were both out today hitting Headlands for waterbird migration and the reported Northern Saw-whet Owl found by Phil Chaon, yesterday (not relocated today). While waterfowl movement was very slow, we did turn up a surprising variety of species, including a single LITTLE GULL amongst hundreds of Bonaparte's Gulls flying west to east, a brief flyover COMMON REDPOLL, and the well-reported flock of 35+ Snow Buntings. Also seen were Rusty Blackbird, Winter Wren, and a pod of migrant kinglets, creepers, and White-throated Sparrows. LPB's group of 10 birded the paths, breakwall, and beach from 8:15 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
