A magical and seemingly large vocal flock of Tundra Swans flew over Lakewood
this evening at about 10:00 PM. Brightly lit by the moon and some city
glow, there white bodies and wings were an amazing sight against a dark cold
blue background. I estimate they were 400-600 feet high and there were
45-50 birds. With the other reports from today and the group of Tundra
Swans that John Habig and I saw flying over Crane Creek, it amounts to a
decent movement of these birds.
