Today I went birding in my hometown of Alliance, Ohio. I visited the
Huston Brumbaugh Nature Center run by Mount Union College on Union
Avenue (route OH-183, south of State Street). It was a good day for
woodpeckers: two Northern Flickers, three Red-bellied Woodpeckers, at
least three Downy Woodpeckers, and three Pileated Woodpeckers. I also
stopped by Walborn Reservoir and saw several Chickadees and a
White-breasted Nuthatch, but I didn't see any birds on the water.
