The 17 Sandhill Cranes at the east end of Cowan Lake, reported yesterday by Ed Roush came in at 4:30 and were still there at 8:30 this AM. While my wife and I were watching them hoping to see them take off a mature Bald Eagle flew over the group and circled around, then flew to a nearby tree. The Eagle did this twice and then flew away but the Cranes were still there when we left.

Cold Birder Cheers, Larry Gara
