It was cold and windy but a good day to be out and about. We had an adult bald eagle driving up to see the PGrosbeak. Arrived about 9AM; just missed the bird at 8:45AM at its usual spot. It did not return till 10:40AM further down to the right of the gate with a flock of waxwings. Talked with others later who stated it did not return till 1PM across the road by the stream but good scope views were had. Other highlights of the day:
Rough-legged hawk (dark phase) 1- Veler Rd. perched and hovering
Kestrels-8
Huron: Little gull-1adult, Sabines gull-1
Did not arrive at Huron till 3PM. Birded there from 3-5PM. Did not locate the Black-legged Kittiwake; light was fading fast. The little gull and sabines cooperated very well staying close to the pier and staying low.
