Just got a jingle from Gary Meszaros, who reports a male evening
grosbeak at a feeder at the North Chagrin Reservation just a few minutes
ago. Another good sign we'll be seeing these and other northern
irruptive species this season. Let's not forget it's probably stress
from food shortages that's driving these birds our way, so while it may
be nice for folks who like to observe them, it's not good times for the
birds.
