The cool northern front is sweeping through Fremont in N. Central Ohio, about 11 miles south of Lake Erie. Have backyard thistle feeder, combo oil sunflower seed, cracked corn and wild bird seed generic mix feeder, and a platform feeder with table scraps, fruits, and bird seed mix. More RB Nuthatches than in previous years and they're staying longer, about 6 of them. They like to go after the thistle feeders as well as the sunflower seeds. A Red-bellied W. showed up for just one day last week. Daily, the feeding station is visited by Cardinals, Bluejays (They like whole peanuts in the shell), WB Nuthatches, Carolina Wrens (one pair), about a half dozen BC Chickadees, a dozen Gold Finches, Mourning Doves, many English Sparrows (yuck), and one Sharp Shin does the drive by...or fly by...act each day. Several weeks ago heard Screech Owls calling at night. Waiting for the Juncos to show up. Robert in Fremont
