Hello all,
I did not see the redpoll today, however I was not home for more than an hour or so. I did venture over to the gravel pit that once had five species of geese on one day, and behold, there were about 300-400 geese including about 20 snow geese(around ten each of white and blue phases with a couple of juvies mixed in) one Ross' goose, and at least one cackling goose. The gravel pit is right along state route 33 about 2-3 miles west of New Hampshire. There is a road that goes south along the east side of the pit and a scope is a necessity. Who knows what else could be in there as I didn't have a ton of time to scope through all the Canada's. If they are not on the pit, check the surrounding fields south of 33 as they sometimes hang out there. Let me know if you need more info.
Autumn Cheers,
Troy
