I had 4 cackling geese amongst a flock of 300+ Canada geese in Leroy Township, Lake County yesterday.  The birds were in two pair that hung around with different goose flocks.
 
I remember a while back someone was requesting photos of cackling geese.  If anyone is interested I have posted a shot of two of the birds in flight at:
