I found the 4 cackling geese today that John had amongst the flock of 300+ Canada geese in Leroy Township, Lake County yesterday. The birds remained in two pairs that hung around with different goose flocks. I watched them for about an hr. from 1-2PM today. They were very actively feeding on the backside of a pond. Their very short bill really stuck out. Good comparisons with the other geese. Also had 4 American pipits and 1 Coopers Hawk.

Sally Isacco, Chardon
