  Blendon Woods is located in the northeast corner of Columbus off of I
270 & Rte. 161. Take the Little Turtle Way exit. Here is a list of some
of the birds seen in Blendon Woods the last couple of days.
 
     Thoreau Lakke
       American Black Ducks-122+
       Mallard-16+
       Gadwall-4 male, 4 female
       Pied-billed Grebe
       Hooded Merganser-male, 2 female
       Ring-necked Duck-2 males
       Wood Duck-3 males, 2 females
       Red-breasted Nuthatch-male
       White-throated Sparrow-7
       Eastern Towhee-male
       
 
   Lake Trail
      Golden-crowned Kinglet
      Hairy Woodpecker
      Pileated Woodpecker
      Sharp-shinned Hawk
 
 Nature Center Area
    Pine Siskin
    Fox Sparrow
    White-throated Sparrow
    Yellow-rumped Warbler
    Red-tailed Hawk
    Cooper's Hawk
    Red-breasted NUthatch-female
 
Wild Turkey-seenall over the park
