This morning at about 8:00 I
saw a merlin hunting (and perched) on the OSU OARDC campus in Wooster.
Based on size, and compared to the MODO perched about 15 feet away, the
bird appeared to be a female. I'll remember to bring my binocs
tomorrow. The bird was located a bit of a walk from the paved road, but
along an easy walking path. If anyone is interested in trying to
relocate it please let me know and I can give detailed directions. I will be out there tomorrow am from
about 7-8:30.
