Late Tuesday afternoon, after the rain finally ended, the Northern Shrike that has been visiting my back fields since mid October reappeared. It was perched low, in a young sycamore.
Yesterday I walked over to the Geauga Park property just north of Country Lane, to see if I could locate the bird further up the power lines, but didn't find it.
An occasional red-breasted nuthatch at the feeders joins the regular winter birds.
