To All,
Today, December 24th, I saw three female Evening Grosbeaks at 8:22am . They
have regular there since at least 12/18/07. I waited for them for 1/2 hour.
I heard them call before they flew in. They stayed for about 3 minutes
before flying west and out of sight.
They rested in a large deciduous tree just south of the bicycle trail, 400
yards east of where it meets Monclova. The tree was next to a beige garage.
Directions from Jan Dixon's note at RareBirds.org at
http://www.rarebird.org/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2554:
"If you take 64 south from Airport Highway and then go west on Monclova -
follow the road around the curve - the bike trail comes in there, head a
little east on the trail."
