Hi, I was going to the doctors office and left at 3:00 this afternoon. Immediatly after pulling out of my drive (north on S.R. 585) I saw what I thought was a hawk. But when I got my binoculars on it I realized it was a Short-eared Owl. Last year it was apsent, but it's been in the area the previous two or three years. Good Birding, Chris Followay
