Tim & I decided this morning to head to Lake Milton, hoping it would not
yet be frozen. We got real lucky, with 14 species of waterfowl, 1
Red-shouldered Hawk, & 2 Bald Eagles (adult & immature).
Waterfowl:

Mallards--I didn't even try to count them....let's just say there were a
whole lot of them.
Black Ducks--started out counting them, up to about 40. Then we started
hitting large #s & I quit counting.
PINTAIL--1
Hooded Mergs--~45
Common Mergs--8
Ruddy Ducks--47
Buffleheads--8
Tundra Swans--17
Goldeneye--10
Redheads--~25
Coot--10
Lesser Scaup--~dozen
Canvasback--1
Ringbills--6

On the way home, we went to West Branch & added a Common Loon, another adult
Bald Eagle, & 2 Red-tail Hawks. We also had an immature Bald Eagle at
Berlin Reservoir on the way to Lake Milton. FYI, Lake Milton is just south of the
Trumbell/Mahoning county line.
