A single male HOARY REDPOLL was at my feeder in North Perry, Lake County.
The bird was here off and on this morning from 10:45-11:30. It always fed
on the ground below the thistle feeder at the feeding station where the
white-winged crossbill has been coming. The hoary was with a group of 70+
common redpolls. The white-winged crossbill was a also seen briefly about
the same time. I also had a couple pine siskins and a handful of
red-breasted nuthatches. None of the birds have been seen for the last
couple hours.
