Yesterday I spent a couple of hours in the afternoon scanning through
the truly amazing number of gulls there. Around 4 p.m. a flock of five
or six red crossbills flew over heading west.

Notable gulls:

Lesser black-backed (three adults, one probable second-winter)
Thayer's (one adult)
Glaucous (one adult, one first-winter)

Good birding.
