Yesterday, Saturday, 12/1/07, one of the Westerville Eagles was back in the vicinity of the nest on Alum Creek. Even though the construction of the electric substation is going on the eagle was there. Over the last several days one or both of the eagles have been observed at or around the nest which was used by a pair of red tails last year. It remains to be seen whether the eagles will come back to the nest and, if they do, if they will have to compete with the red tails for it.

The eagle yesterday appeared to be a full grown adult with full white head and tail. As near as I could tell there was no brown anywhere on the head or tail. It will be interesting to see how this develops over the next few months.
