Arrived at the cemetery around 3:45 PM. No Merlin were observed on my first
pass around. On my second pass I observed a large hawk and was very surprised
to  see it was a male Northern Harrier. It was headed southeast over the
sandpits.  Not only is this a new cemetery bird but also a new Garfield Heights
bird also.  Too bad I wasn't home, could have been a yard bird the way it was
heading.
Also seen was a Mockingbird, a new bird for this winter, about 20  Canada
Geese and 23 Ring-billed Gulls on the remaining ice on the sandpit ponds.
Had one Merlin flying as I was leaving early for an appointment.
