Was outside today feeding the feral cats (To keep them away from the feeders
any one want two black kittens? if I can trap them?) and returning to the
side door.

A very large Hawk got spooked from the yard.

It flew thru the branches of the pine trees then dropped behind the fence.

I thought I lost it but then it gained altitude and flew over the roof of
the house across the street. It then dropped again behind the roof line.
Then it gained altitude again and landed in a tree about 100 yards away.

I ran inside for the bino's.

All I can say is that it had white on the head a grey back with some
spotting on it. It only stayed put for a very short time. After I got the
Bino's on it held still for only about 10 seconds.

It flew toward the Crocker Sterns road project (Flew West) and disappeared
as it weaved thru the tree branches.

It had very powerful wing beats. This is all I can be sure of.

Any Ideas folks? I think I know what it was but can not make positive ID
dare I speak its name.
