after an enjoyable hour in the woods tromping through snow and spotting the expected lovely mixed flock of titmouse and black-capped chickadees, juncos, blue jays, and a red-tailed hawk, I gave up on finding pileated, brown creeper, and (main goal!) the redpolls that it seems like everybody in Ohio but me has seen.

While warming next to the fire in the nature center, of course, a male and a female common redpoll came to the feeder and spent quite a few minutes there.

Good birding!
Scott
