Snow geese are locating Auglaize/Mercer Counties as well!
There have been flocks of 20+ found on or flying over Grand Lake St Marys.
Pine Siskins are visiting feeders!
And N Pintails have also settled on the Lake for a rest.

I'm trying to snare a House Finch so I can paint it to look like a Common
Redpoll so we can join the list of counties but they are so illusive and
wary -- they won't let me get close enough to catch them.
I need Julie's mist net THEN I can paint one! I'd probably get only sparrows
though and what can you paint them to look like????

Oh well!
Everyone else enjoy the balmy weather and happy birding,

Jill Bowers
Auglaize County
