Greetings -

Yesterday (9th) I had an adult male Merlin near Hardesty Park in west Akron (near the intersection of Hawkins and West Market St - considered Wallhaven business area). The bird cruised in from the neighborhood behind West Point Market and landed high atop the ICWU building sits on this corner.

Today, (10th) had a pair of Peregrine Falcons on the I-480 bridge just east of I-77. This pair can be readily observed from Canal Road (below bridge) in Valley View. Easy to see as they sit atop the billboards. Today, they chose the Benihana board (as seen going east).

This past weekend, a single Common Redpoll was reported at the Brecksville Nature Center feeders. Today, a single Pine Siskin was seen.

best of birding -
Jen
