At about 9:00 this morning I definitely had one and possibly three BOHEMIAN
WAXWINGS in my yard in North Perry, Lake County. I noticed a group of
waxwings sitting in some brush along the cliff by my house. When I got my
binoculars on them I noticed one was larger so I got it in my scope and
readily saw that it was a Bohemian. The waxwings were constantly flying
down out of site and back again. The bird disappeared after about 3-4
minutes. Shortly there after the entire flock took off and flew east along
the cliff. There were at least 50 cedar waxwings with three larger birds in
the flock. I could not get a look to positively identify them, but they
were probably Bohemians. I went outside, but by then they were out of site.
I looked to where they were flying down and there was no fruit in the area,
but there is a small seep coming from the cliff. I'd imagine they were
there drinking. Unfortunately I don't have much fruit around here to
attract them so I don't know if they'll be back.

At the feeders there have been a single common redpoll and pine siskin, but
not much else. I have had sharp-shinned and Cooper's hawks come through to
keep things stirred up.
