Greetings---I usually wouldn't post an advocacy-type message to this listserv, so bear with me. I hope readers got to see the PBS show "Nature" last weekend. If not, it is usually shown again within a week or so. It was an excellent program on the horseshoe crab/red knot decline in Delaware Bay. I'm sure we all want to see the rufa subspecies survive, and hopefully make a comeback. Otherwise, forget ever seeing a red knot in Ohio again. Sanderlings, turnstones, etc. are also being impacted. There is a post from Tony Croasdale on the PA listserv, with suggestions for positive actions we birders can take NOW. Please check it out. Thanks for your consideration, Craig
