Subject: Need help identifying a big bird with an owl-like face It's not
an owl. It is like a big hawk with the face of an owl. I saw itperched on
a fencepost on the edge of a field in Delaware county. Its was brown. It
seemed pretty fierce in the face. Thank you for your suggestions.

Could it be a Northern Hawk Owl?? check out this great birding site:

Robert in Fremont.
