In the woods and around the pond for a bit over two hours this morning. Woodpeckers are very active calling and drumming, and I actually saw three pileated in one tree at the same time (one eventually chased another off into the woods).

First time I've seen the red-winged blackbirds since Winter; saw three singing for quite a while.

List:
4 pileated woodpeckers
5 red-bellied woodpeckers
6 downy woodpeckers
2 hairy woodpeckers
5 white-breasted nuthatch
1 red-breasted nuthatch
20 black-capped chickadees
10 tufted titmouse
3 red-winged blackbirds
10 american tree sparrow
2 song sparrow
15 house sparrow
3 black duck
50 mallards
2 Canada geese
4 American crows
10 cardinals (always single or in pairs, no groups)
8 blue jays

No sign of the common redpolls
