On Sunday late afternoon, my friend Gerry Brevoort and I walked thru
Whetstone Park in Clintonville. In the rose park, near the music amphitheater, in a
barren crabapple tree we saw 3 White Throated Sparrows and 2 thrushes. Many
pairs of cardinals flew in as evening fell. And then the thrushes flew off
together to the north end of the park.

I believe one thrush was a Gray-cheeked (indistinct eye ring, yellow lower
mandible, gray/brown color, heavy spotting)and one was a Hermit Thrush (bold
spots, reddish tail, no pumping though, eye ring).

If anyone is out and about in the park, see if you can locate them again.
They definitely appear as two different species.
