About 5:45pm today, Carol Hathaway sited a white-winged scoter at her parents farm pond on Bishop Road southwest of Greenville.  THis pond was completely open and is fairly large.  The scoter was diving frequently.
Carol Hathaway first found the scoter.  Cindy Ploch and I both helped to confirm the finding.  The pond and scoter can both be seen from the road.
