Fellow birders,
This morning, there was a Hermit Thrush at my dog door to the deck. He
looked right in and I thought he might try to come on in, but he lacked the
heft to push open the door. I'm sure he wants Spring to get here about as
much as I do, perhaps even more, since I'm on the warm side of the door.
Later, the Pileated woodpecker flew through and landed on the side of a
Cherry tree. That is a beautiful bird at any time, but expecially so
against the snowy backdrop.

Thanks to those who responded to my Prothonotary nest box request,
especially Charlie. It's nice to know what's going on out there.
